Interview with Michela Masiero
What was your responsibility in this project?
We were responsible for the dyeing of the final garment.
What is your vision for circular textiles in Europe?
My opinion is that brands are increasingly trying to create collections by following a circular economy, seeking recycled or regenerated raw materials. Certainly we are still at the beginning with important margins for improvement and implementation. However, I believe that this will definitely be part of the future of textiles.
What would make these circular practices easier for you to adopt?
Surely it would be easier to use and handle waste derived from recycled materials if there were clearer and simpler laws. Traceability is also an important issue.
What advice would you give to other entities that want to replicate the value circle?
Recycling is important, but the important thing is to know how to convey recycled materials and products so that they can have a new application life.
What was your drive to be a part of this initiative?
Definitely being able to have the opportunity to implement and improve our Recycrom(tm) technology and to join a community of Companies with different experiences and skills all addressing the topic of recycling.
Looking back, how did it go for you?
I can say that it went very well and above expectations, plus it was very nice to be able to participate and contribute to the creation of a totally recycled product.
